Kenny Omega defeated Will Ospreay for IWGP United States title

Kenny Omega defeated Will Ospreay for IWGP United States title. Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay, two of the best wrestlers in the world today; were set to meet each other in an emphatic battle for the IWGP United States championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 in one of the two main events of the evening. 

As the match started Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay went at each other with everything they had. At the beginning Kenny Omega was the one who dominated the match; bringing out the table to smash over Will Ospreay. Omega also hit Ospreay with DDT on the exposed turnbuckle, busting him open.

Even though was beaten up, Ospreay found a way to make a comeback and he hit Omega with his most dangerous moves. Ospreay also brought out AJ Styles’s Styles’s Clash but that wasn’t enough to get victory for Ospreay.

In the end Kenny Omega went for the golden trigger and Will Ospreay spit over him. Angry Omega blasted Ospreay with The Golden Trigger and The one winged angel and covered him for the Three count. Finally Kenny Omega won the IWGP United States Championship. And walked out of the Tokyo Dome as the New IWGP United States Champion.

The match was a really awesome match. And seeing defeated Will Ospreay looking into Kenny Omega’s eyes was the most heartbreaking visual. This was truly the match for the ages, and per Kenny Omega said “Tonight Ospreay wasn’t ready to carry the torch”.
