AEW Continental Classic Updates: Latest Standings and Semi-Finals Predictions. The AEW Continental Classic is in full swing, showcasing top-tier wrestling talent in a yearly round-robin tournament. This year’s competition features 12 elite wrestlers split into two groups: the Gold Group and the Blue Group. Wrestlers in each group are battling for the coveted spot in the semi-finals, leading up to the finals at AEW’s upcoming PPV, World’s End, on December 28, 2024.

Gold Group Standings and Updates

The Gold Group initially consisted of Juice Robinson, but due to an unfortunate ankle injury sustained during his match against Will Ospreay, Juice had to withdraw. He has been replaced by the high-flying sensation Komander.

Here’s the current leaderboard for the Gold Group:

  • Claudio Castagnoli, Will Ospreay, and Ricochet: 6 Points each
  • Darby Allin and Brody King: 3 Points each
  • Komander: 0 Points

With only a few matches left, Claudio, Ospreay, and Ricochet are in prime positions to qualify, while Darby Allin and Brody King still have a chance to catch up.

Blue Group Standings and Updates

The Blue Group features an exciting mix of wrestlers, with Kazuchika Okada and Kyle Fletcher leading the charge. Here’s the updated ranking:

  • Kyle Fletcher: 9 Points
  • Kazuchika Okada: 7 Points
  • Mark Briscoe: 6 Points
  • Daniel Garcia: 4 Points
  • Shelton Benjamin: 3 Points
  • The Beast Mortos: 0 Points

Currently, Kyle Fletcher and Okada look strong for semi-final qualification, but Mark Briscoe and Daniel Garcia are close behind.

Semi-Finals and Predictions

The top two wrestlers from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. In this round, the first-place wrestler from the Gold Group will face the second-place wrestler from the Blue Group and vice versa. The semi-finals and finals will take place on the same night at World’s End, where the ultimate winner will be crowned the Continental Champion.

As of now, Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Kazuchika Okada are favorites to advance. However, the competition remains fierce, with the final spots still up for grabs.
