Wardlow had one of the rough careers in AEW. Coming as a stranger and working for the biggest piece of shit on the earth known as MJF. Then trying to overcome him to be the TNT champion. It is a really tough journey to have. Now he is the TNT champion but it seems like the quality of opponent he is facing is not good enough. 

On the other hand we have former AEW world champion “Hangman” Adam Page. Who is also struggling to find his place on a card since losing the AEW world championship. Wardlow needs a legitimate opponent and Hangman Adam Page needs a best story and over the opponent after losing the world title. And both of them can fulfil others needs resulting in a banger match.
