AEW Dynamite Results January 24, 2024. Minoru Suzuki and Adam Copeland face each other in a one-on-one match. TBS will broadcast the 225th episode of AEW Dynamite today, January 24 , live from the Enmasket Arena in Savannah, GA.
Joe says that opportunities will no longer be given, but earned. “Whoever wins a chance thinks they’ll have a chance, but what they’ll have is the chance to have the worst night of their life. When they face me, I’ll do what I did with Hook. I’ll beat you up, knock you unconscious, and take you away.” everything,” Joe said when he was interrupted.
Hook comes out to answer the champion. Hook says he lost last week and Joe won. He extends his hand and when Joe shakes it, Hook leans in to whisper in his ear. “I don’t know when, I don’t know where, but I’ll see you again.” Samoa Joe says probably yes, but now he should go to the back of the line. Joe leaves the ring and security comes in to stop Hook, who destroys them with Suplexes before leaving.
Samoa Joe joins the commentary table during the match. Hard exchange of blows in the middle of the ring, Adam seems to have the better of it but Penta stops him with a Superkick. Two Slingblades from Penta to continue the offensive, Page catches him in mid-flight and applies a Fallaway Slam followed by a Standing Shooting Star Press. Back and forth between Chops against the corner, then Clotheslines and kicks until they are both lying down.
Penta and Page go out to fight at ringside, near the commentary table. Page continues to stare at Samoa Joe, who responds defiantly. Death Valley Driver and counts about three on Penta. They exchange blows on the edge of the ring, Penta looks for a Piledriver but Adam avoids it. Penta avoids the Buckshot Lariat and applies a Made in Japan that almost gives him the victory. Deadeye on the edge of the ring and Orihana Moonsault for Penta. Page misses a Buckshot Lariat but connects on a new attempt and takes the victory.
Orange Cassidy is interviewed by Renee Paquette. Orange says that “ok, I’ll face Roderick Strong for the International Championship at Revolution. Do you want to wait that long? Okay, but I’m going to keep doing what I do.” Cassidy says that he asked for a match with his friends and some who are not his friends to define a challenger for Saturday at AEW Collision.
The Young Bucks are interviewed by Alex Marvez. First, they tell him to refer to them as Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, and they talk about the importance of the show doing well. The Bucks run into Top Flight and scold them for being late, although in the end they say they like them.
The bell rings and Wardlow charges at Trent. Trent takes him out of the ring, connects with two Dropkick between the ropes and launches himself into a Plancha but is received with a blow from Wardlow. Wardlow takes the advantage and punishes Trent against the barricade. After several minutes of dominance, Trent manages to respond with a Suicide Stop. Beretta takes a chair and punishes Wardlow without being seen by the referee, who was arguing with Undisputed Kingdom.
Tornado DDT to Wardlow upon returning to the ring. Piledriver and a two count on Wardlow. Trent goes for a Crossbody but Wardlow catches him to throw him. Wardlow uses his knee again, dropping his rival face-first from the corner onto his knee. Brutal Powerbomb for the three count on Trent.
After the fight, Wardlow prepares to continue attacking Trent, but the Best Friends enter the ring to confront him. Undisputed Kingdom join Wardlow but the situation does not come to blows.
Renee Paquette interviews Deonna Purrazzo and Toni Storm in the entryway. Storm refers to the “bodyshaming” that has been done to Deonna, and says that she is wrong because there are many more things to shame her for. “I have a lot of friends, and all of them are less talented than me,” Storm fires regarding her past with Deonna.
“This is not the Toni Storm I want to fight. I want to fight the Toni Storm who lived in dojos with me, who moved to America with me. That’s the best, that Toni Storm is the one I want to beat for the championship. You I pray, search deep within yourself and find that version of yourself. If you have any doubts, look at your ankle, it sure looks very similar to mine,” says Deonna and shows a tattoo, the same as Toni’s.
Storm yells at Purrazzo in annoyance and throws her shoe at her, Deonna throws hers at her and attacks her looking for the Venus De Milo. Toni flees with Mariah May, leaving the championship behind. Deonna picks it up for a moment and throws it to Luther.
Taya Valkyrie and Johnny TV send a message. Taya challenges Deonna Purrazzo to a match next week.
Swerve looks to cover Jeff as soon as the fight starts, Hardy misses a Splash against the corner and receives a Backbreaker. Russian Leg Sweep by Jeff and Leg Drop for a two count. Swerve applies a Neckbreaker from the edge of the ring to the outside, places him on a chair and climbs to the edge of the ring. Swerve wastes time mocking Jeff, who takes the opportunity to knock him down on the edge and then fly over him into the barricade. After several minutes of dominating the rival, Jeff manages to apply the Whisper in the Wind.
Swerve avoids a Tiwst of Fate but receives a Slingblade followed by a Leg Drop in the low area and some more attacks from Jeff. Hardy takes Swerve out of the ring and applies a Twist of Fate on the metal steps. He goes back into the ring to go for a Swanton Bomb but Swerve dodges it. House Call by Swerve and a two count. Strickland finishes with the Swerve Stomp for the victory.
Renee Paquette tries to interview Hangman Adam Page, but Swerve Strickland appears and both fighters end up arguing heavily. Renee announces to them that next week, each one will be able to choose the other’s rival.
Thunder takes control at the beginning with a Gator Roll, Red reaches the ropes to free himself. Velvet hits Rosa against the corner guard and takes her out of the ring to hit hard Chops. Thunder dodges and returns the attack with his own Chops.
Dropkick against the ropes for Velvet, Northern Lights Suplex and a two count on Velvet. Foot Stomp by Velvet and knees to the back of Rosa’s head. They struggle looking for position until Thunder Rosa manages to apply the Tijuana Bomb for the count of three.
Darby Allin and Sting come out to the ring. Darby talks about the importance of Sting in his career, not just now, but since the beginning. Allin remembers when he traveled to meet Sting and within 5 minutes he realized he could still do it. “You had to end your career on your own terms,” Allin says, and since the rankings are back up, he believes they should get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships. “You still have it, and we’re all in agreement here,” Allin tells The Icon.
“What do you say, do you want to finish your career as tag team champions?” Darby asks and sits in the corner listening to the answer. Sting takes the floor after a great ovation. Sting accepts and hugs Darby.
Big Bill and Ricky Starks accept the challenge after the break. Bill says angrily “thank you for respecting us and recognizing us as champions, for naming us, finally.” Starks adds that Sting won’t be coming to Revolution.
The members of Bullet Club Gold leave before The Acclaimed and greet them at the entrance. Caster and Cage start the fight, Bowens takes over but is soon cornered by the rivals. Kaun and Liona attack Daddy Ass and Caster in their corner, Prince Nana distracts Bowens, Toa takes the opportunity to throw him out of the ring with a Pounce. Brian maintains control over Anthony in the ring, Bowens manages to stop him with a kick and a Blockbuster.
Daddy Ass takes over and charges at all the challengers. Prince Nana slides a chair into the ring while the referee is arguing with Kaun. Jay White arrives to take away his chair! The Gunns are going after Nana! Austin and Colten hit him with a Double Powerbomb on a table. Famouser by Daddy, The Arrival by Bowens and Mic Drop by Caster on Kaun for the victory of the champions.

Copeland is not intimidated and immediately goes to exchange blows with Suzuki. Minoru comes out better from the exchange, Adam tries a Spear towards ringside but Suzuki catches him with a necklock. With the Headlock, Minoru and Adam struggle at ringside until they collide and knock down a part of the barricade. They both return to the ring just in time before the count of ten. Suzuki takes the lead in a new exchange of blows, Copeland resists and does not give in to the power of the legend until both collapse.
Impaler DDT from Copeland to stop Suzuki’s attacks. Minoru manages to apply the Fujiwara Armbar, Adam manages to reach the ropes with great effort to free himself. Adam surprises with a Spear but Minoru resists the count. Suzuki looks for position from the mat to close the Sleeperhold on Adam. Copeland manages to escape and throw Minoru face-first into the corner. Killswitch and a three count on Minoru.
After the fight, Christian Cage is seen looking disgusted at the fight on a screen. In the ring, Copeland takes the floor and says that he had never been hit so hard in his life. He then shows his respect to Suzuki and extends his hand. Suzuki just growls at him and leaves. Copeland says he would have been disappointed if he actually shook her hand.
“That was a war, the kind of war Christian Cage knows nothing about. Christian, I’m still coming for you,” Adam closes. As AEW Dynamite went off Air.
