MJF has not re-signed with AEW

MJF has not re-signed with AEW. The current hot topic in the wrestling industry is none other than the upcoming free agency of multiple superstars. And the biggest name of them all is current AEW world heavyweight champion MJF. 

MJF’s current AEW deal is expiring on January 1st 2024. After which MJF will officially be a free agent. At the current situation MJF is definitely looking out for great deals for his future. But some reports even stated that MJF may already have resigned with all Elite Wrestling. 

MJF clarified the situation in his recent interview with SI Media Podcast. When asked about his current situation with AEW MJF replied:

“Think fans leak out things that they want to be true. I love AEW. I want to stay in AEW. After this pay-per-view, it’s time to assess the situation from a professional setting. I’ve never lied. January 1, 2024. When stuff like that gets leaked out.

It makes me laugh because I remember something got leaked out about Cody having secretly re-signed. And then he showed up. Something got leaked out about CM Punk and Tony Khan are actually fine. I think fans leak out things that they want to be true. I love AEW, I want to stay in AEW. After this pay-per-view, it’s time to assess the situation.”

In this interview MJF has clearly stated that he hasn’t re-signed with AEW. And MJF is looking forward to great options. Whatever story may be behind this situation we will find out after the World’s End PPV, what the future currently holds for AEW Champion.
