CM Punk taking Legal Action on AEW. The world of professional wrestling received a big shake several days ago when All Elite Wrestling reported the dismissal of CM Punk . A committee external to the company extended the decision a few days after learning of the altercation between The Best in the World and Jack Perry backstage at AEW All In London.
Despite being different circumstances, the event was quite reminiscent of the wrestler’s departure from WWE in 2014. We already know that that case ended in a lawsuit against the medical team of the company managed by Vince McMahon at that time. Resulting in a ruling against Phil Brooks.
This time AEW being the one sued by the professional wrestler. Journalist Nick Hausman, close to names around CM Punk. Assured that the former world champion has no interest in seeking any type of litigation with Tony Khan or his company.
Several names around Punk assured that he feels much more relieved to move away from the drama that his presence within All Elite Wrestling meant. The possibility is still open that Tony Khan will open a legal case. Although this is not yet a fact nor have there been any indications that it will happen in the short term.
The days following the layoff witnessed a series of solid rumors. That pointed to the possibility of seeing the wrestler back in WWE . Endeavor’s purchase of the company would have built a bridge that would connect. CM Punk with the sports entertainment company, setting the course for a return from now on. Recently, Punk provided what appeared to be a brief hint during his commentary role on CFFC.
