Triple H on CM Punk’s potential WWE Return. From the change of leadership in WWE after the farewell of Vince Mcmahon , certainly among the main benefactors Triple H is unquestionably named in order: Head of the creative team and COO (the equivalent of a company operating director in Italy) of the federation . Therefore, he is one of the most authoritative voices of the company, as well as a proponent of a “rejuvenation” of the narrative ideas of the WWE .
While all of this is happening in Stamford’s company, on the other side of the fence, in AEW , strong jolts have made life backstage turbulent. Among the main consequences is the removal of CM Punk , a top man and on which Tony Khanhad bet, from All Elite Wrestling . We all know of the bitterness between Hunter and Punk still in progress, born during the period of CM Punk ‘s stay in WWE and contributing to his definitive break with the latter back in 2014.
Regarding the recent misunderstanding between Punk and AEW , and to a possible return of the prodigal son in WWE , Triple H replied “Never say never would say”. As reported by Ringside News, Triple H stated, regarding the return of Punk , the following:
“Look, at any moment someone in the business thought ‘Would you answer a call from him?’, I can’t think of any of this business. to which I would not answer if he called me, I would answer their calls in any case … I think we should talk about it. But again, did CM Punk work with us on a show on FOX, I think a year ago? And there were opportunities at that time and there were people around us all the time. You know, again, I would never say never, but the desire must be present on both sides.”
So Triple H does not preclude the opportunity that CM Punkcan return to play a WWE ring , as long as the call comes from him and there is a real underlying desire. In short, a door half open.
