The Rock reveals: Roman Reigns Vs The Rock was planned for WrestleMania 39 & It might happen soon. One of the biggest stars if not the biggest star in the sport entertainment business is none other than Dwayne Johnson also known as the Rock.

It’s been years since the Rock has stepped foot back in the square circle and fans are eagerly waiting for his return. It is believed that The Rock vs Roman Reigns the match for the ages will finally happen at WrestleMania 39 at SoFI Stadium but it didn’t.

This week the rock was on The Pat McAfee Show and was asked about the Rock Vs Roman Reigns potential match at Wrestlemania 39 was that plan. The Rock replied:

“Okay, The Rock headlining WrestleMania with Roman Reigns at Sofi Stadium that was locked. We were doing it, but let me just tell you. In the beginning of 2022. Nick Khan, he was very instrumental. Bringing me and Vince back together, we all flew to LA, we sat & talked and about an hour later.

We talked about the potential of the match. What this match could be. Me and Roman Reigns headlining WrestleMania at SoFI and we shook hands and said let’s do it. Then we had the year until WrestleMania and we thought let’s not be something good, not something great, let’s do unpresidented.

What can we create for the fans, a match, Great, Roman incredibly good athlete he is gonna be on Mount Rushmore. We can have the match but the bigger thought was: what we are we do for fans. Where WrestleMania isn’t the end of something but it is actually the beginning of something bigger.

So we got really really close but we couldn’t actually nail what that thing was. So we decided to put our pencils down and said hey listen. There is a merger coming up. There is a WrestleMania in Philadelphia. I am saying that it has potential too.”

The Rock has finally confirmed that the match between Roman Reigns and himself was actually locked for WrestleMania 39. But put on hold to create something big.
