Latest on Cody Rhodes returning to AEW ! It’s safe to say that Cody Rhodes was one of the crucial things in founding AEW. Because in the end it was his idea that led to the Inception of the company. That’s why it was unbelievable when he left the company to pursue his dreams in WWE.

But still there are people who believe that one day Cody will be back. But WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW announcer Jim Ross believes there’s more chance of Dustin Rhodes returning to WWE for a one-off than Cody Rhodes coming back to AEW.

Discussing the possibility of a Rhodes brothers reunion on a new edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross said:

“It would be a long shot based on Dustin’s age, and [for this scenario] he’ll be moving companies. He’d have to be hired by WWE. As crazy as it sounds, Dustin getting hired for a one-off or a big match at a stadium show is more likely than Cody coming back to AEW. I might be wrong on that deal. I don’t see that happening right away because Cody is on a rocket ship”.

Ross also restated his belief that WWE made the right call by having Roman Reigns defeat Cody to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39.
