Grand Slam Eliminator Tournament (Round 1)

Penta El Zero M vs. Jay Lethal

The two men trade body shots. Lethal suffers kicks before reversing a Hurracarana. Jeff Jarrett looks for a distraction, but it’s not enough and Jay slips away. Satnam Singh catches Penta and smashes him in the corner! His allies tie his mask and allow Lethal’s offensive. The referee observes the situation and expels Jay’s entire team.

The masked man escapes the offense after the commercial break and achieves a Suicide Dive that allows him to regain the advantage. Jay takes a Stomp before his Backbreaker and DDT. Alex Abrahantes stops a foul play by Jay. Penta stops the Lethal Injection with a Backbreaker and finishes with Fear Factor from him. 1…2…3…

Winner: Penta El Zero M on account of three

Sammy Guevara comes on stage and approaches Chris Jericho at the commentators table. “You got me tired,” he tells her. Both express their interest in resolving their differences, despite continuing to recognize each other as “brothers”. Chris offers an individual heads-up at Grand Slam 2023 . Sammy agrees to the match, and they both shake hands and hug each other to seal the deal.

Team Match

Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida and Skye Blue vs. Taya Valkyrie, Anna Jay and The Bunny

Skye starts off dominant against The Bunny, but Taya quickly overtakes her. After the commercial break, Hikaru takes over and punishes Anna in the center of the ring. Baker decides to steal the tag after seeing the five women getting messy in the ring. The Bunny creates a disagreement between Shida and Baker, but does not prevent the latter’s Lockjaw by which she marks the surrender.

Winners: Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida and Skye Blue by surrender

We review Hook ‘s victory at AEW All In London. The fighter promises to return to New York, “the city where it all began.”

Tag Team Match

The Young Bucks (Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson) vs. Angelo Parker and Matt Menard

The brothers get a head start. Parker tries to stop them, but takes a Neckbreaker and elbow over the second rope. Matt catches him in a series of Suplexes that Menard joins to receive the punishment. Jake Hager interferes and gives his teammates the advantage. Nick takes over and manages to get even with his two opponents. Matt shows up for the Superkick Party. Menard takes the BTE Trigger for the Jackson victory.

Winners: The Young Bucks on a count of three

Santana speaks on a prerecorded promo. The fighter promises that he will use his platform to achieve “a new beginning”, where he will choose his friends and his business correctly.

Grand Slam Eliminator Tournament (Round 1)

Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe

Jeff takes several attacks and stomps on the chest before the commercial break. Hardy finds offense with a blow to the chin. Joe dodges a Crucifix and sends his opponent out of the ring. Jeff recovers for a flashy jump from the top rope and applies offense to his rival’s legs. Joe anticipates the Twist of Fate and finishes with the Coquina Clutch to achieve the surrender of his opponent.
