AEW Rampage Results December 29, 2023: Wheeler Yuta will face Matt Sydal for the ROH PURE Championship in the last AEW Rampage of 2023. Chris Jericho reconciles with Sammy Guevara and reunites Le Sex Gods

Tonight we will once again enjoy a new live follow-up of AEW Rampage . The All Elite Wrestling show will air from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. 

Chris Jericho opens tonight’s broadcasts.

The fighter remembers what happened last Wednesday, when Sammy Guevara spoke about The Don Callis Family. He claims that names like Sting and Darby Allin have his respect, but he needs to talk to Sammy first. The latter walks to the ring and listens to Chris talk about the elephant in the room: his betrayal of The OCHO at Dynamite Grand Slam.

Guevara claims that he felt in Chris’ shadow all this time, and his goal was to seek new paths on his own. However, his paternity and injury helped him understand that he made a mistake. Jericho remembers that he still has a shot at the titles , and wants to have Sammy at his side to collect it. They both hug to make the Le Sex Gods reunion official.

Backstage, Daniel Garcia claims to be tired of House of Black’s attacks, and promises that very soon he will make a surprise appearance to take revenge.

Ruby Soho vs. Marina Shafir

Shafir starts with an advantage before being thrown to the canvas. Nyla Rose distracts at ringside and allows the first offensive against Ruby. Harley Cameron stops Marina from ringside! Soho throws her out of the ring before the commercial break.

Marina is distracted by the chaos at ringside and receives a kick to the head. She escapes with a jump and connects a Belly to Belly suplex that she tries to finish with a Chokehold. Harley distracts again and Ruby applies the Roll-Up. 1…2…3…

Winner: Ruby Soho by three

The Don Callis Family, Big Bill and Ricky Starks assure that tomorrow we will be at “the end of the road” for Chris Jericho and his companions. The six men promise “a massacre” for Worlds End.

Christopher Daniels, Jimmy Jacobs and Sarah Stock will serve as judges for the next title fight.

ROH PURE Championship

Wheeler Yuta vs. Matt Sydal

Both men have a very even start. Sydal catches his rival for a Standing 450 before receiving several attacks to the face. We return from the break with Yuta receiving several kicks to the chest. The champion responds with a German Suplex and locks his opponent in a neck lock. 

Sydal is forced to use the ropes first touch from him. Wheeler catches him for several elbows to the chest and keeps him with his shoulders on the canvas. 1…2…3…

Winner and STILL CHAMPION: Wheeler Yuta on account of three

Danhausen appears on the scene, and appoints himself as “judge” for the FTW Championship match at Worlds End. He tries to disqualify Wheeler Yuta for “his bad behavior” from him, but ends up getting elbowed in the chest. Hook comes to the rescue of his partner !

Top Flight Team Match

(Dante Martin and Darius Martin) and Action Andretti vs. Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero

Cassidy and Andretti start evenly. After a Dropkick from the first, Beretta takes over and keeps Darius in the corner. The members of Top Flight help each other to gain dominance, overcoming Trent and keeping Romero on the canvas. CHAOS takes a triple Suicide Dive before the last commercial break. Romero pushes Andretti away, but it is not enough to lose track of him. 

Trent and Dante take over, with the latter maintaining the advantage for several moments. Top Flight team up again against Beretta. Cassidy and Romero go out to the ring to gain the advantage in numbers. Attacks begin to rain down from the six fighters. Orange goes for a punch, but Dante pushes him away and grabs Romero for a Chokeslam. 1…2…3…

Winners: Top Flight and Action Andretti by three
