MJF says that it doesn’t matter who wins the tournament to face him in Grand Slam, because nobody is at the level of the devil. “There is one person in particular who needs to be taught a lesson,” MJF was saying, but is interrupted.

Samoa Joe marches to the ring to face MJF. Joe says he wanted to have a front row seat to hear what MJF has to say. “What’s the problem, kid?” Samoa asks. Joe calls him a boy again and Max responds with several pun jokes. Joe tells him that he’s not understanding, maybe because he spends so much time with the stupid people of Indiana. Max gets angry when he calls him “kid” for the third time and says that if he does it again.

he will break his teeth.

MJF calms down and says there is a whole tournament if he wants to fight the champion, he won’t be able to skip the line. “When I was 19 years old I had a tryout in Brooklyn for WWE, and as you can imagine, I did great because I’m that good. But I was pushed aside by a guy named William Regal,” says MJF and pretends to get stuck in the name it. “He told me that I was too young, to send him monthly emails to show him my progress, and as everyone knows, he rejected me.

We all know how that story ended, I kicked his ass and sent him back to NXT. And Joe, we know that if If you play your cards right, you will be next,” he shoots. MJF remembers when Samoa Joe pushed him in NXT when he was just an extra. “Let’s be honest, Joe, I know why you did that. I know how horrible guys think, because I’m their horrible guy. You did it because I was a boy and you could get away with it. But I’m not a boy now, I’ve grown up.

“I am a generational talent, the AEW World Champion, the best wrestler on Earth and the man who starred in the greatest PPV of all time, I am MJF,” shouts the champion. “So Joey, if I were you I’d get out of my way, or I’m going to kill you. That was a very well made point,

but there’s a problem.

But I didn’t think of you as a boy when I pushed you. I didn’t think you were a boy. I thought you were a little bitch,” Joe launches. MJF slaps Joe, who laughs. “I am not going to fall for your provocation.

I will go to the tournament, I will beat everyone and I will go for you. Until then champion, have a good day”, closes Joe. Samoa kicks the rope when MJF is about to come out to hurt his crotch and proceeds to attack him. MJF responds with a low blow when Joe poses with his title.

MJF charges towards Joe but receives a Uranage. Joe prepares for the Muscle Buster but Adam Cole comes running in to defend the Brochacho from him. Medical personnel come out to treat MJF, who is left with a stiff neck after Joe’s attack. Roderick Strong confronts Adam Cole on the ramp, upset that he cares about MJF’s neck but not his.

Hangman Adam Page comes out to the ring.

Page remembers that he won the Over Budget Battle Royal for charity, thanks the foundation and tells that he was a teacher. He adds that they are underfunded, underpaid and underappreciated by teachers. Page says that now he wants to look ahead, there are a few months left in the year and he wants to think about his future.

He is interrupted by Sweve Strickland accompanied by Prince Nana, who takes the microphone and tells Tony Schiavone to go away. Swerve mocks that Page has done charity for education, saying those kids aren’t going to achieve anything anyway. “You’re doing charity at the Zero Hour instead of winning championships on the main card. If you don’t feel ashamed of yourself, I will. When AEW started, everything was built around you, and look what you’ve become. You carried an attendance record on your back, and now you are in preshows, it seems that you no longer want to achieve it.

I have made some observations: you have not changed your wrestling suit in a year, you do not have new merchandising, you have a new good contract …it shows,” he says, pointing to Page’s abdomen. “You don’t get title matches anymore, what’s going on? You took a back seat for The Elite to drive, you got comfortable. Opportunity after opportunity handed to you on a silver platter. If I had those opportunities I would be the first black champion to this height.

I’ll leave you with this: you lose yourself on the horizon like in cowboy movies.

You go to catering or your farm house, you step aside and leave me this place you don’t want, so I turn this into Swerve House. Or option B, you become a man, you find that fire in you, that motivation, that confidence, you show me, these people, yourself what cowboy shit means,” shoots Swerve.

“Or you can take me on for this position. I have zero empathy for human life, zero respect. If you do, I’ll walk you like a dog. Either way, I’ll go after that place you act like you don’t care about,” Swerve says. Page says if he wants a match go backstage and get it, but he’s sick of it. Hangman leaves the ring and Swerve tells him that it is a shame that his wife and children see him abandon more responsibilities. Page faces him furiously but Brian Cage attacks him from behind. Powerbomb and Drill Claw for Page.

Fight for the Grand Slam Eliminator Tournament: Darby Allin vs. Nick Wayne

Agile and even start, Darby takes Nick out of the ring and flies into Tope but Nick dodges him causing him to crash hard against the barricade. Nick applies a Superplex and Fisherman Buster with a bridge for a two count when he returns to the ring. Darby closes a Figure Four Leglock in the middle of the ring, Nick spins it and Darby reaches the ropes. Crossbody clash, they go on to exchange blows and Darby takes the floor. “You hit like an 18-year-old. Hit like you want to win!” Darby fires and returns to the exchange. Allin puts his hands behind his back and waits for the blow, Nick surprises him with a kick to the face.

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus come out in the middle of the match. Darby flies over the top rope to attack Darby as Cage joins the announce table. Wayne continues landing blows and looks for the count after an Uppercut. Wayne covers two more times but Darby escapes. The action moves to the edge of the ring, from there Nick throws Darby in a Hurricanrana. Strong and The Kingdom are watching the match from backstage. Frog Splash from above to ringside for Allin. Wayne’s World and another two count on Darby. Nick avoids a Cutter in the corner, thinks about a Coffin Drop but regrets it and just covers Nick.

Nick uses Darby’s Last Supper against him and almost wins. Crossbody from Darby who tries several times to cover Nick. Code Red and another count of two on Nick. Darby traps Nick’s arms as he kicks his head, the referee stops the match when Nick can’t react.
