The champion talks about when he discovered TNA Wrestling, and how he was surprised by what he saw, especially with Samoa Joe. “He wasn’t conventional, but he didn’t seem to care. And neither did we, because when he was in the kitchen he was the toughest guy ever,” he says.
MJF says that Joe didn’t get the recognition he deserved in WWE, but he showed in his career that he doesn’t need to have the ideal physique in this industry. “The way he went, a guy like me is standing in front of you today. Without a guy like him, there would be no AEW. So Joe, I quickly want to say, as much as it pains me to admit it, thank you.”
“December 30th isn’t about your legacy, it’s about mine. If MJF can top the bottom line in this business one more time. I’ll make a promise to everyone watching at home and everyone in this arena. I don’t care “if my knee and my hip are bad, if my shoulder is bad. If you want to take what’s mine at Worlds End, you’ll have to finish me,” MJF fires and breaks the staff.
The masked men catch MJF, the Devil takes a bat and prepares to attack him. Samoa Joe arrives to save him ! Joe takes out the Devil, takes the bat from him, and scares them all away.
When the masked men leave, a message is seen on the screen. “Will you face the unknown in a tag team match? Are you a hero, Max?” the messages say.
MJF yells that he’s sick of this s***. “I’m not going to deal with this while this man breathes down my neck. I’ll take out your men one by one and take off your mask. Do you want a tag team match next week? You got it!” Max closes.

Cage says that he would like to invite Adam Copeland to the ring. “I know you’re there, and I want to talk about the things you said last week. Your presence here will be greatly appreciated,” he says. Finally The Rated R Superstar’s music plays and he arrives at the ring.
Adam Copeland stands defiantly as Cage takes refuge behind security. Cage says that it wasn’t his idea, that they don’t need security, and asks them to get out of the ring. “Last week you challenged me to a match for the TNT Championship next week in Montreal. I must tell you that we are not going to make it to Montreal,” Christian shoots. “We’re not going to get there…because I’m sorry.
I know what you think, what everyone thinks. That I’m sorry because I’m alone, because you took down Killswitch. I was angry when I saw him, I ran out of the house and went out for a drive around there. At some point the trip became one of reflection, of searching for why I became the person I am,” says Christian.
He remembers his accomplishments in wrestling, and says things run even deeper. “Everyone knows that you don’t have a mother. And that you didn’t have a father figure… I know I’m the patriarch, and I’m not implying to be your father, Adam. I’m your brother. In a way, my father was yours, he treated you “like you were family. I love you, Adam. When your mother passed away, it was one of the hardest moments of your life.
She wanted to see us team up again. Let’s do it again, for your mother. Let’s do it for her,” he asks. Christian. Cage tries to surprise Adam with a blow, but Copeland stops him with a low kick.
“Brighten this, sleep with him if you want, but next week, he’s going with me,” Adam says as he tosses the TNT Championship to Cage. Adam insults Cage and leaves the ring.
