There are several reasons why I’m here, one mainly, but we’ll get to that later. I don’t know about you, but I think that the World Championship would suit me. There are a number of fighters with whom I could have dream matches,” Adam continues.
Adam names possible rivals for the first time: Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Powerhouse Hobbs, Juice Robinson, Jay White. “They are all great reasons to be here, a challenge at this point in my career. I already said this and I will say it again, the main reason I decided to come to AEW is because I sat down with my family and told my daughters “What to do. Should I retire? Lyric, 9 years old and wiser than I’ll ever be, said I had to come have fun with Uncle Jay. I’ll call him what you call him, Christian Cage.” Adam calls him to tell him the real reason he’s here.
He walks around him, looks at him, and stops to listen to him. “For 40 years we have been best friends. Before we were in this industry, it was this industry that made us realize that we would be friends for life. I know you wonder why I did what I did in WrestleDream. It’s very simple: I see you Standing like this, I see your face, looking like an idiot more than ever, and I know deep down that I still love you. That will never go away.
But I see you standing over Sting. Sting! A guy whose poster you took to the barber to get cut hair like him. I see you standing over Sting, a man who entertained people for four decades. A man who has given people feelings for four decades. I can’t stand you giving him a conchairto, that’s why I did what I did. on Sunday,” Adam explains.
“But I also did it because I know, and I speak from experience, that Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne will throw you in the trash as soon as they take away all the information they have from you. It’s time. It’s time for the first time since 2011, for the first time as “It should, in more than 20 years, be time. For you and me…to team up again,” Copeland says.
“To face a team like FTR, like The Young Bucks. To show a whole generation of fans why we are without a doubt one of the best teams of all time,” Adam says. “I’m asking you. Let’s do it, let’s finish our career together as a team, let’s show what we can do,” Adam asks.
Cage asks for the microphone and hugs Adam. “Fuck you,” he tells Adam and leaves the ring. “Before I go, a quick reminder, Adam, about what you’ll be facing this Tuesday on Dynamite,” Cage says from the ramp. Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne come out to pose with Cage. As AEW Dynamite went off Air.
