AEW Collision September 30, 2023

AEW Collision September 30, 2023. Tonight’s AEW collision was broadcast live from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA! Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly were the broadcast team for tonight’s event. It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! Saturday night’s alright for fighting!

Juice Robinson (with The Gunns) vs. Andrade The Idol

Andrade begins to move with Suplexes throughout the ring but cannot cover Robinson. Juice goes down to ringside and Andrade launches himself with a Suicide Dive. The Gunns get in the way of the Mexican and Juice elbows him. The BCG member begins to give him Neckbreakers on the canvas but Andrade responds with several chops. Robinson mocks Andrade while The Gunns take the opportunity to distract him. Andrade frees himself from the enemy’s domination and prepares to finish off Robinson but the referee gets in the way. The Gunns are expelled from ringside but Robinson almost wins. DDT from Andrade on Robinson and he wins.

Winner: Andrade El Idolo

Chris Jericho, backstage, assures that the new alliance with Kenny Omega will end with Don Callis’ family. In addition, they will show them tonight before the Gates of Agony what they are capable of as a society.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) vs. Best Friends (Trent and Chuck Taylor) (with Rocky Romero)

Bennett launches himself with a Dive towards Tren and Taylor at ringside. Taven wants to cover Taylor but he breaks free in two with the right ones. Taven kicks Taylor and combines with Bennett to continue the punishment to Taylor. Trent enters the comeback and connects two Suplexes to Mike and Taven. Double Missile Dropkicks but Taven lands a Kick. Bennet looks for the Piledriver on the metal stairs but Trent applies a Death Valley Driver. Double Piledriver but they can’t win because Bennett hits the rope in time. The villains recover and connect a combined Piledriver to Taylor to win by three.

Winners: The Kingdom.

Mike Bennett takes the microphone and dedicates the Piledriver to Roderick Strong but Matt Taven takes it away and blurts out that this was directed at Adam Cole, so that he can take care of revenge.

Prince Nana and Don Callis secretly talk backstage until Alex Marvez arrives. The reporter asks what they were doing together but Nana makes fun of him and leaves it unknown.

Julia Hart vs. Vertvixen

Hart doesn’t wait, she launches herself with butts helped by the ropes and smashes her rival’s head against the canvas repeatedly. She chokes her with the ropes and whips her against the corner. Her opponent tries to defend herself against her but she can’t handle the blows to the middle zone and receives Hart’s finisher to finish on a count of three.

Winner: Julia Hart.

Hart takes the microphone and calls for Kris Statlander. The TBS champion comes out to confront her with a microphone and tells her that her time is about to end and tomorrow at WrestleDream she will know.

Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega vs. Gates of Agony (with Prince Nana)

Jericho starts well but is overwhelmed by his rivals, especially with Prince Nana’s interventions to avoid answers and to not let Omega enter to help his partner. The villains continue to dominate him but Jericho manages to win with goals to the chest. Y2J looks for the Walls of Jericho but can’t get it. He chops and a Boot but gets a Clothesline square on. Omega saves him from cover. Omega takes care of one while Jericho hits the Walls of Jericho for the submission.

Winners: Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega.

After match Chris Jericho took mic and said: “I have to say after what you just saw, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho proved we can coexist together.”

Kenny Omega:

“You said it yourself, Chris. Coexisting isn’t just part of some grand scheme to be the greatest tag team in AEW history. Nope, this is about something bigger. I was blinded by Don Callis but now I’ve seen the light. And all it took was for you, Don, to take Takeshita to Japan to hurt the ones I love. Ibushi takes a beating like that as an invitation. So tomorrow at WrestleDream, it’s time for the original Alpha and the original Omega to spell the beginning of the end of Don Callis.”

“Tomorrow at WrestleDream, Kenny, Ibushi, and the Ocho, versus the Don Callis Family! Sammy, you are the ultimate Judas, you little bastard. I’m going to ruin your dreams, your goals, I’m going to ruin your entire life. And tomorrow at WrestleDream, I’m going to take out all my frustrations from teaming with you for the last four years, onto you! We’re coming for the Don Callis Family!”

The Righteus (Vincent and Dutch) vs Travis Williams & Judas Icarus !

The villains dominate much of the fight, without allowing the locals to take over, and after several bumps against the corners they apply their combined finisher to end the fight.

Winners: The Righteus.

After the match Vincent addressed crowd saying:

“Dutch, look at all the paper people strung together. It’s the same paper people who believe that MJF truly is the devil. You know something, he is the devil. The devil pulls the strings that make us dance. The same strings that are tied to that liar Adam Cole. So, at WrestleDream, not only is the Righteous going to become the ROH World Tag Team Champions, but we’re also going to make sure that the devil leaves with one hoof. Just like Adam Cole. Dutch, dig what I’m saying?”

Dutch pulled a block of wood out from beneath the ring and handed it to Vincent. Dutch held the block of wood between Icarus’ legs while Vincent slammed a steel chair against it!

Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis), Ricky Starks and Big Bill vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) and Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta)
