Chris Jericho wins the Ring of Honor World Championship. On this week’s AEW Dynamite special Grand Slam. The Ring of Honor World Championship match was set between challenger Chris Jericho and champion Claudio Castagnoli.

Surprisingly the Ring of Honor World Championship match opened the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2022 show. Chris Jericho and Claudio Castagnoli put up a great fight against each other and showcased Ring of Honor wrestling on national television.

Chris Jericho had never had a Ring of Honor World Championship and he was looking forward to becoming Ring of Honor World Champion. And add another world championship title belt to his collection. On the other hand Claudio Castagnoli wanted to defend the title against a veteran like Chris Jericho and improve the prestige of the title.

In the end Chris Jericho managed to hit Claudio Castagnoli with a low blow behind the referee’s back and then capitalised with his finisher Judas Effect. Chris Jericho covered Claudio Castagnoli as the ref counted the three count. As a result Chris Jericho won his first Ring of Honor World Championship.
