AEW Reducing use of Blood & Brutality after moving to TBS. Recently Tony Khan has announced that he has renegotiated the AEW deal with Warner Media Network. And he had signed a new deal with Warner Media Network. This new deal will be too beneficial in terms of AEW. But they will be moving to TBS Network with their both shows AEW Dynamite and Rampage in next year 2022 according to this deal.
TBS Network is also Warner Media Network’s TV channel along with TNT Network. TNT Network broadcasts a lot of sports content so it has a slight reputation as a sports channel. On the other hand TBS Network broadcasts family friendly content and TV shows that’s why it’s like a family TV Network. So people were concerned that AEW changing their programming from TV 14 to TV PG with a network change from TNT to TBS. Dave Meltzer discussed the situation in his latest wrestling observer newsletter saying:
“There’s nothing to that, but as far as they’re giving them more hours. They’re giving them Clash Of Champions, so to speak. You know, they’re getting live specials and they are giving them more money. there won’t be any difference there [with blood], same standards and practices on each station.”
By which he has confirmed that there will be still use of Blood and there will be the same level of brutality after AEW moves to TBS Network. Which means AEW will not be changing its programming and they will still be with TV 14 ratings not TV PG.
