AEW Dynamite going head-to-head with WWE SmackDown

AEW Dynamite going head-to-head with WWE SmackDown. Since their launch in 2019, Wednesday Nights has been AEW’s main night air their Dynamite show. WWE tried to do Battle against AEW by moving their NXT brand to Wednesday Nights but it failed miserably. Due to the pressure of the USA network WWE had to change their WWE NXT show time from Wednesday to Tuesdays. But now it seems like AEW will be going head to head against WWE SmackDown.

In past weeks we have seen that due to TNT Network and NBA shows. AEW had to move their Dynamite show two different nights then their regular Wednesday Nights. This impacted AEW’s ratings various Times and now according to latest wrestling observer newsletter. AEW might again have to change their Dynamite shows time. The wrestling observer newsletter says that :

“AEW Dynamite might have to change their Dynamite shows time due to the NBA. Maybe May 26th Dynamite show could move to May 28 and June 2nd Dynamite show to June 4th.”

This is due to the NBA games that will broadcast on the TNT network on May 26 and June 2nd. Turner broadcasting systems are giving hell a lot of money for the NBA than AEW; that’s why this is impacting AEW. This is bad news for AEW because they had to move their last Dynamite show before Double or Nothing 2021 pay per view to another date. Show the viewership may suffer a significant drop and it’s not just for one Dynamite show it’s for two shows. Means AEW’s Dynamite after double or nothing will also have to suffer from low ratings.

AEW postponing their Dynamite show by two weeks will result in the direct competition to WWE SmackDown. Which also will have serious effects on AEW’s ratings.
